Why a Certified Financial Fiduciary
Working with a fiduciary means the advice you get is meant to serve your goals first. That is the standard Renee' has chosen to hold herself to.
R. Renee' Kennedy has held the Certified Financial Fiduciary (CFF) designation since 2020, issued by the National Association of Certified Financial Fiduciaries. See what it means and how to verify it.

Planning in Tennessee
Planning for a Collierville household starts with a few Tennessee basics.
No state tax on wages, and no inheritance tax.
Tennessee does not tax wages, its Hall tax on interest and dividends ended in 2021, and the state inheritance tax was repealed in 2016. Federal taxes still apply, so planning still matters.
Probate happens in Shelby County.
If a will goes through probate here, it goes through the Shelby County Probate Court. Assets held in a living trust generally pass outside of probate.
Common questions from Collierville families
Do I have to drive to Germantown for every meeting?
No. Many conversations can happen by phone or video, and we meet in person when it helps, such as signing documents.
We moved to Collierville from another state. Do our wills still work?
A will signed in another state is often still valid, but it is worth having it reviewed, along with your beneficiaries and how your accounts are titled.
Is the first conversation really free?
Yes. The first conversation and our workshops are free, with no obligation.
